Professional Background:

James has been providing agricultural consultancy advice throughout Scotland since 1999, initially with a national firm and then with Allathan Associates since 2008.  He delivers a wide spectrum of rural business management and advisory work for a range of farmers,  landowners and professionals. He has been heavily involved in advising insolvency practitioners with various farm business solutions, in addition to having considerable experience with agricultural subsidy and grant schemes.

James is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), a Member of the Scottish Agricultural Arbiters and Valuers Association (SAAVA) and is also accredited under the Farm Business Adviser Accreditation Scheme for Scotland to deliver grant aided Integrated Land Management Plans.
